Episode 29: Office Party

In this last episode of 2009 we decide to have a little T2HS year-end office party. Join us for some casual ASL talk with an old friend, a new friend, and a special guest. Here's an outline of our topics:
  • Listener Mail
  • Box Art Review
  • What's In the Box
  • ASL New Year Resolutions

  2. Thank you very much, below on your website you will see your 'support us by buying on Amazon'. Well Gung Ho is listed there, clicked on it, it sent me to Amazon with one left for $100. I purchased it and now it shipped today!

thank you very much! It was the last one that I needed in my collection!

Also wanted to say I bought something from your wife so you can play ASL!

  3. Another excellent podcast. Just FYI, the Yin-Yang symbol on the shoulder of the guy on the Hedgerow Hell cover is the insignia of the 29th Infantry Division. The blue and grey swirls (according to Wikipedia) symbolize the men from the South and North which compose the division.

  4. enjoyed the show, men! well done...you guys do such a great job at promoting ASL...well done...one thing i noticed during your ASL Quiz Show...the question was asked, "What's the "X" number on the back of the counter mean?" And the answer given by Jeff what that "it's the break number." That's not correct, it's the elimation number of the gun. The break number is always 12 unless it is printed on the front of the counter as being something less than 12. Congrats on your 29th program. I've endured every single one! No, I've really enjoyed all 29!!! Great job and continued success to you both in 2010!!!

  5. made an error on my first post...enjoyed the show, men!!! Well Done...you guys do such a great job at promoting ASL...Well Done! One thing I noticed during teh ASL Quiz Show...the question was asked, "What's the "X" number on the back of the counter mean?" Adn the answer given by Jeff was that, "it's the break number." That's not quite correct, it's the elimination number of the gun. The break number is always 12 for a gun, unless it is printed on the front of the counter as being something less than 12. Congrats on your 29th program. I've endured every single one! No, I've really enjoyed all 29!!! Great job and continued success to you both in 2010!!!

    Needs a lot of work.

Btw, I just was listening back to Tanks 2U and you read a letter signed, "t", saying that he had no plans on playing ASL. Well, I'm "t" and I'm now playing starter kits. Never say never.

  8. I remember to look for my SAN number on my opponents rolls because good results by a my opponent (low rolls) draw the attention of my sniper. I've also heard people refer to it as a balancing factor. Getting good rolls is balanced (a tiny bit) by the activation of the sniper.

  9. One quick remark regarding the WW2 in HD?

No they didn't have HD cameras then. HD cameras are purely digital.

The footage in WW2 in HD are not digital, but "scanned" in from analog footage. Think of it when you scan in a normal photo. You can scan it in very high resloution. The same with old analog film. You scan it in HD. Depending on what the orginal analog film format is the greater quality you can get.

So YES it possible with WW2 in HD.

By the way. Thank you for a great show. I have the graveyard shift at a hotel in Karlskrona, SWEDEN. So you help me get trough the night. I think I am on my fifth relistning of all your shows.

Best regards and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
